After opening Figma, you can create a new Frame by clicking the Frame icon on the toolbar or using the shortcut key F/A. The size of the Frame can be adjusted according to your needs. Here we choose the size of Macbook Air as a reference.
First, we need to add a background color to the Frame. Click the color option below File and select black as the background color. Then, drag and drop the prepared Logo into the Frame and adjust its size and position.
Next, use Figma’s text tool to add title text to the canvas. You can adjust the text size, font, and color as needed. Make sure the title text maintains proper spacing and alignment with the logo.
Import the prepared background image into Figma and adjust its size and position to fit the Frame. You can use Command+scroll to adjust the zoom of the display to better see and manipulate the image.
In order to create a unique cover effect, we can use the Mask function. First, select the Rectangle Tool (shortcut key R) in the Shape tool and draw a rectangle in the Frame. Then, resize the rectangle so that it takes up the entire Frame. Next, change the rectangle's fill color to black and place the background image above the rectangle. Hold down the Command key and click on the layer to select both elements. Right-click and select the "Use as Mask" option to apply the background image as a mask.
After applying the mask, we can further adjust its effect. Open the Fill panel and select the Gradient option. By adjusting the direction and color opacity of the gradient, you can achieve the effect of the background of an image gradually disappearing on one side. Adjust the direction and position of the gradient as needed to achieve your desired cover effect.
Finally, we can further refine the details of the cover. Adjust the layer position so that the logo and title are above the mask layer. Adjust their size, position, and style as needed to ensure they fit in with the overall style of the cover.
After completing the design, click the "Export" option in the right column, add an export image format and select JPG. Then click the "Export" button to export the completed cover into an image file.
