Have you ever dreamed of challenging yourself and embarking on a journey of mind and body? In Nepal, there is a place known as the "trekker's paradise", which is waiting for brave explorers - that is the Annapurna Great Circuit. Today, I want to take you through this 10-day hiking trip and experience the unparalleled beauty and challenges.
In Nepal in April, the sun is just right and the breeze is not dry. Our group arrived in Pokhara and began a ten-day adaptation period. Here, we rented outdoor equipment, stored extra luggage, and were fully prepared for the upcoming hiking trip.
At five o'clock in the morning local time, we took a bus and a jeep. After a few hours of bumpy driving, we finally arrived at the starting point of the hike - Chamei Sasanqua. Along the way, the cliffside driving, bumpy road conditions, and loss of network signal all made us full of anticipation and curiosity about the upcoming hiking trip.
On the first day of hiking, we set off from the starting point at an altitude of 2,670 meters and headed towards Abisa, which is 3,200 meters above sea level. Along the way, we saw travelers on bicycles, motorcycles, and even jeeps. But we chose to use our own feet to measure this land step by step. Snow-capped mountains, apple orchards, and clear streams all tell us the magic and beauty of nature.
However, the trek was not without its challenges. The onslaught of sandstorms forces us to put on our magic hoods and go into a defensive posture. But during this difficult time, we met a hiking team from Taiwan. Their average age is 65 years old, but they are still full of energy and enthusiasm. This spirit inspires us and strengthens our determination to continue moving forward.
As the hike progressed, we were more and more struck by the majestic scenery of this land. The majestic figure of Annapurna 2 sparkles in the sunset, like a huge gem embedded in the Himalayas. At this moment, we seemed to be in a mysterious and beautiful fairyland, and our souls were greatly shocked and baptized.
As night fell, we stayed in a village on a ridge. There are clean rooms, separate toilets and spacious terraces. On the terrace, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the snow-capped mountains while warming up over the fire and chatting. The starry sky at night is particularly bright, seeming to light up the way forward for our group of brave explorers.
Looking back on this ten-day hiking trip, we experienced various challenges including wind and sand, rain and snow, and altitude sickness. But it is these challenges that make us cherish the friendship and trust between us even more. Together we walked through rugged mountain roads, enjoyed the magnificent scenery, tasted local food, and experienced the collision and integration of different cultures. This experience will become the most precious treasure and memory in our lives.
Looking ahead, we look forward to more hikes, more adventures and challenges. Because in this world, there are always places waiting for us to discover, conquer, and experience. Let us take that step bravely together!
