Hello everyone, my name is Li Ziran. Today, I want to talk to you about someone you may not be familiar with - a catering investor in the eyes of technology people.
Many people know that I am a practitioner in the technology industry, but you may not know that I have also participated in the investment of some chain restaurant companies in recent years. From the perspective of project development, our investment has been very successful. We have been involved in many projects when there were only one or two stores in the early stages. Now they have grown into enterprises with hundreds of stores and a certain degree of popularity and influence in the market.
Why would a tech person choose to invest in the catering industry? There are several important logics behind this.
First of all, China’s restaurant chain rate is much lower than that of developed countries such as the United States and Japan. I think that as China’s economy develops, this rate will definitely gradually increase. Secondly, the catering industry is less affected by the economic cycle. No matter whether the economy is good or bad, people need to eat, which makes investing in catering a good risk hedging tool. Furthermore, the catering industry has a huge market and numerous subdivisions, providing investors with abundant opportunities.
However, investing in restaurants is not always smooth sailing. I have come to realize that success in the restaurant industry does not rely solely on clear thinking and planning. Many times, even if you have a clear plan for the project, various factors during the execution process may affect the final result. In addition, the exit mechanism of the catering industry is relatively complex, which is also an important issue that investors need to consider.
After these years of investment experience, I have become more clear about the main line of my life - that is, AI robots and brain-computer interfaces. I find that whenever I talk about these topics, I feel filled with excitement and enthusiasm. This made me realize that only by doing something you truly love can you find true fulfillment.
Over the past two years, I have oscillated between being an entrepreneur and an investor. However, after careful consideration, I decided that being an entrepreneur would be my primary niche. It’s not that I no longer care about investing, but I want to be able to focus more on what I’m passionate about and impact the odds to the greatest extent possible.
Looking back on the past, I am grateful for my attempts and experiences in the field of catering investment. These experiences have made me clearer about my direction and goals. In the future, I will devote all my efforts to the main line of AI, hoping to bring more innovation and changes to the world. Thank you all for your continued support and attention, see you next time!
